(Salisbury, NC) – The Shaw volleyball team only mounted a serious run in the second game, but were swept by Livingstone in straight sets, 25-14, 25-19, and 25-17.

Shaw's only lead in the match came in the second game when Michelle Oliver reeled off eight straight service points to take the Lady Bears from a 6-4 deficit to a 12-6 lead.  But the Lady Blue Bears quickly came back, taking the lead at 18-17 and allowing only a single point the rest of that set.

Sharetta Riggins led the team in kills with ten, and digs with seven.  Jade Bibb had eight assists while Ashley Johnson had six.

The Lady Bears return to action on Friday when they host Fayetteville State in a game at 6:00 p.m. at C. C. Spaulding Gymnasium on the Shaw campus.
