Greensburg, PA - The # 7 seed Shaw University women's tennis team saw its 2023 season come to an end with a 4-0 setback to the # 2 seed Indiana University (Pennsylvania) in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional hosted by IUP at the Greensburg Racquet Club.
The Lady Bears finish the season with a record of 14-5 overall. The NCAA postseason bid was the second straight for Shaw and 11th overall for the program.
Shaw fell behind 1-0 at the conclusion of doubles action as the Lady Bears dropped the No.1 and No.3 contests. IUP would earn the remaining points needed from the No. 1, No. 4 and No. 5 spots in singles competition to come away with the 4-0 win to advance to the next round ending all hopes of Lady Bears comeback.
