RALEIGH, N.C. (April 24) - The Shaw University men's tennis team received an at-large bid to the NCAA Division II Tennis Tournament on Monday night.

This will be Shaw's first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2014.

The No. 7 seeded Bears (5-5 overall) are headed to Atlantic Region No. 2 where they will take on host Edinboro, the No. 2 seed, on Friday, April 28, at 12 p.m. The winner will face either No. 3 seed Fairmont State or No. 6 seed Mercyhurst in the Atlantic Region No. 2 finals on Saturday, April 29, at noon.

Shaw is entering the tournament as an independent. Edinboro, 17-3 overall, is the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) champion.
