RALEIGH, NC - The Shaw University Lady Bears bowling team preps for a prime opportunity to accomplish something that hasn't happened in almost 20 years. Win a CIAA Championship.

Head Coach Joseph Williams along with assistant coach Terrance Hamilton have put together a squad that provides the Lady Bears with their best chance to come away with a CIAA title this weekend as all eyes will be on Salem, VA and the CIAA Bowling Championships held on March 25-26, 2023 at Lee-Hi Lanes (1830 Apperson Drive. Salem, VA 24153)

The Lady Bears (8-16 overall) have earned the fifth overall seed and will face fourth seen Elizabeth City State University on lanes 9-10. 

Shaw will be led by the dynamic duo of freshman Brooke Smith (193 average) and junior Necarri Moore (170 average)

Rounding out the team will be Lorena Gonzales, Zania James, Lasia Jackson, Daricia "Moosh" Arrindell, Jasmine Brake, Brianna Garbrandt , Thalita Faria and Hannah Durante.
