MEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN, 8-1

RALEIGH, NC – Shaw University men's tennis took on third-ranked Atlantic Region, West Virginia Wesleyan team on Saturday afternoon and were topped 8-1 in regional competition at the Bobcat Tennis Complex.

The loss drops Shaw to 5-5 overall while WVW improves to 6-6 on the year.

Bach Tran (Leipzig, Germany) and Diego Choque (Tarija, Bolivia) came through with the Bears only point at the No. 1 doubles, defeating their opponent by the score of 8-3.

Shaw would suffer losses at the No. 2 and 3 doubles, 8-6 and 8-2 before the Bobcats swept all singles competition.

The Bears will face the University of Charleston Sunday, April 9 at 2 p.m.
