RALEIGH, NC – Daniel Ac (Kikinda, Serbia) and Diego Choque (Tarija, Bolivia) both contributed a point each on Wednesday as the Shaw University men's tennis team edged Bluefield College, 5-4 at Lions Park for a non-conference contest.

The win improved Shaw to a 5-1 overall, while the Rams fall to 1-6 on the season.

The Bears swept doubles play with an 8-5 victory at the No.1 doubles, followed by an 8-1 win at the No. 2 slot and an 8-5 advantage at the No. 3 spot.

Shaw will return to action on Saturday, March 19 when they travel to Murfreesboro, NC to compete in the CIAA Tennis Round-Up hosted by Chowan University. The Bears will battle it out with the Hawks at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday.
