Murfreesboro, NC – The Shaw Men's tennis team traveled to Chowan University over the weekend on to play in the tennis round-up, March 21-22, 2015. The Bears recorded a 2-1 record for the round up and improved to 4-3 on the season.
Shaw dropped the match against Chowan 6-3 to open the round-up matches. Bach Tran and Juan Sanchez scored the lone win for the Bears in double play. Diego Choque and Sanchez both defeated their Chowan opponents in the third and fourth singles matches of the day.
On Sunday the Bears defeated their Virginia State opponents 6-3.
The Shaw University Men's tennis team will be back in action on March 24 to host a double-header match against Virginia Union. The first game is slate to start at 1:00 PM will the second to follow at 3:00 PM. All home matches are held at Lion's Park, 516 Dennis Ave, Raleigh, NC 27604.
